ACUPUNCTURE

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is probably one of the oldest practiced forms of medicine in the world. This unique medical practice is used to treat a wide range of diseases, such as pain management and infertility. It is based on balance, a balance between the principles of Yin and Yang, and between Chi pronounced “chee” and blood.  Chi and blood travel through the body along well defined pathways called channels or medians. When there is not enough Chi and blood or when they are stuck in an area, there is an imbalance between Yin and Yang. As a result of this imbalance, internal organs are not functioning optimally and illness and pain develop. Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) treatments include herbal therapy, moxibustions therapy, foodtherapy, massage and acupuncture. The number of treatments and the length of therapy that a patient may receive are based on many factors including the patient’s health, age, personal contribution to the therapy, severity and longevity of symptoms as well as the patient’s response to therapy.

spacerDr. Li has a very high success rate with his patients, but success is based on the patient’s commitment to treatment by regularly attending treatments, taking the herbs and following the appropriate self-care measures at home along with diet and lifestyle changes.

INFERTILITY
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) has been used to treat fertility problems for over 4,000 years.  TCM works to enhance fertility by restoring balance to the body and the internal systems responsible for regulating hormones. Acupuncture is done by inserting very thin needles into the skin at very strategic locations on the body (acupoints) to stimulate energy flow along pathways that are thought to affect bodily functions. The treatments are very relaxing and most patients are very surprised at how good they feel afterward. READ MORE...

PAIN MANAGEMENT

In Western medicine it is quite common that your doctor may be able to find the cause of your pain but if pills do not help he may ask yo to do surgery. Fortunately, acupuncture has acquired a very good reputation as a pain relieving treatment, and is often reccomended to the patient as an alternative treatment. Acupuncture can relieve pain completely. By reducing pain levels you will be able to deal with the pain, regulate your emotions, increase your energy, perform everyday activities and reduce your reliance on inappropriate medications. Acupuncture relieves pain by its ability to effect the transmission of pain impulses, to stimulate the release of endorphins (the body’s natural pain reliever), and to increase serotonin levels which influences the severity of the pain. It is a painless and totally relaxing experience. READ MORE...
